The lack of teachers

Academic achievement is a very important thing in Dorkmania. To get along in the Dorkmania system, everyone needs to be highly educated. This is one of the most important values within society here.

 

Everyone has various opinions on this, of course. Some people believe that there are more important values and standards. Then again, others completely agree with this focus on education.

 

Whether you agree or not, before education can take place, there must be persons, teachers, and professors who can and want to do this. Let this be precisely the problem in Dorkmania.  

 

Cause-effect?

We took a quick look at what this could be due to and came to the following conclusions.

 

1. A younger population causes less interest in education

So although education is an absolute must in Dorkmania young people are not interested enough to go into education themselves. This results in there not being young people entering education and thus we do not get enough teachers.

2. Other fields are more popular

As mentioned earlier, young people do not show enough interest in education to start teaching themselves. This is also due to the high importance of science. People adore science so much in Dorkmania that the vast majority of the population wants to pursue a career in it.

 

3. Status and capability

It is well known by now that teachers in Dorkmania do not receive or should not expect high salaries. Doctors and scientists are the biggest earners. Of course, this also plays a role in the choice of many. Status and wealth are something society looks up to enormously and so this has negative effects on education.

 

It is and always will be something important

Education is and will remain important. So somehow, we will still have to ensure that the number of teachers will increase back. As always, we don't have a crystal ball, but fortunately, we do have hope.
